On November 18, EXA shipped the latest version of the COLOSSUS L2A PCDU All-In-One power solution, integrating 2 TITAN-2 battery banks, PCDU and SAMS (Solar Array Management System) delivering 832 W nominal and 1600 W in burst mode for almost half an hour, with improved thermal management based in carbon nanotubes, more robust and reliable power delivery, able to withstand 200% the nominal load, polarity inversion automatic protection, flight software version 5, full redundancy in all avionics channels, improved battery stability under harsh conditions, improved high speed control of solar array deployment and a new bold look!

COLOSSUS L2A v1.5 is the result of a highly efficient EXA team work and a co-development of the MCU with Quantum Aerospace Inc, learning from the lessons of the first version one year ago and delivering a mature product that, in the words of the Chief Designer and Astronaut, Ronnie Nader: “I will fly myself a spacecraft powered by COLOSSUS with complete confidence”.
